St. Vincent De Paul is an international organization with approximately 1,000,000 members. Members are volunteers who want to do something to help needy people. Active members visit families asking for help. Associate members help when needed to do things like work in a store, keep books, drive people to doctors, etc. A person usually gets involved in the St. Vincent De Paul Society in his/her parish, but many parishes don't have a society, so the interested individual should contact one of the stores.
