Food drives and special events are conducted at individual parishes.  See our web page under Assistance for the telephone number of each parish that operates a St. Vincent DePaul conference.  Our thrift stores conduct an ongoing drive for food and other things that poor families need.

Who is Frederick Ozanam?

A lawyer and professor who lived in France from 1813 - 1853.  In 1833 he and five other students founded an organization dedicated to helping the poor, naming it after the patron saint of charitable societies: St. Vincent DePaul.

Who is St. Vincent De Paul ?

A priest who lived in France from 1581-1660.  In Paris he worked with the poor and downtrodden.  He was canonized in 1737 and became the patron saint of charitable societies.
